E.V. Ramasamy popularly known as ‘Thanthai Periyar’, the great revolutionary thinker and social reformer led the society to ‘egalitarianism’. Periyar worked for the emancipation of the suppressed, oppressed, socially marginalized, the ‘working class’ and pulled them out from the clutches of obscurantist philosophy, and worked for abolition of untouchability and social inequality.

Against this background, CPT has planned to conduct certificate courses, guide scholars to Ph.D in Periyar Thought, and run a Five years Integrated Degree Course in Periyar Thought.
