• Mr. M.Subramainiam, Honorary Professor and Dean Emeritus gave a lecture on global Macro-economic Dynamics and Indian Development perspective to the MBA students on 05.08.08 at PMU.
  
• Mr.M.Elamparithi, Lecturer, Management studies co-ordinated the following students to participate in the speech competition, conducted by Anticorruption movement at Kunthavai Natchiars girls college, Tanjore on 13.08.08.

• 27, 28 & 29th August 2008 - The Department of Management Studies of Periyar Maniammai University, Vallam, was organized a three days workshop on entrepreneurship Awareness camp for students (EACS) on 27th, 28th and 29th August 2008. This workshop has been sponsored by ISTE, New Delhi. Around 90 students were participated in the workshop.
