• Department faculties organized the celebration of World Environment Day on 5th June 2008
• Classes started on 07-07-08 for the First batch students of the department
• Tree plantation programme for all the First Year students (1100) on 7th July 2008 in the campus in grand manner.
• Faculties Mr J Saravanan and Mr A P Karthic attended STTP course “Advanced Process Control and Process Identification” at NIT Trichy during 15th June to 28th June 2008
• Faculties Ms A Subathira, Ms D Ramya Devi and Mr M Ilayaraja attended a one day workshop on “ Advanced Chemical Process Design” at NIT Trichy on 20th October 2008
