At Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science and Technology, the student community, in association with the Centre for Institute–Industry Interaction, actively organizes a wide range of personality enhancement and skill development programmes to strengthen students’ employability and placement readiness. Various clubs and societies conduct diverse co-curricular and extracurricular activities that nurture leadership, creativity, teamwork, and social responsibility among students.

The institution also emphasizes holistic career preparation through initiatives such as Concurrent Career Development Programmes, In-Plant Training, Internship Programmes, Open House events, and Project Showcasing activities. Student elections are conducted democratically every year to elect student representatives, thereby fostering leadership qualities and participative governance. In addition, students are motivated to participate in the “Earn While Learn” scheme to gain practical exposure and financial support. Activities under NSS, NCC, YRC, RRC, and other community-oriented student forums further contribute to shaping socially responsible and professionally competent future leaders.
