Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 1989 with B.E. degree programme in Civil Engineering and accredited by AICTE. Civil Engineering has a special status in Engineering education with the latest development in construction projects Outcome Based education is followed to educate, develop and train students to emerge as highly skilled Civil Engineers capable of designing, constructing and maintaining eco-friendly structures with hands on training in practical industrial consultancy services. The department of Civil Engineering offers quality engineering education by imparting content beyond syllabus for the attainment of course outcomes and program outcomes. The department has framed well-structured vision and Mission to attain the Institution Vision in consultation with the faculty members, stakeholders and other administrators of the Institution.

I am delighted to welcome you to the Department of Civil Engineering which is located in a sprawling green environment with a state of art facilities and highly qualified faculty with vast research experience. We are fortunate to be centre of choice for most of the stakeholders in this region. Students are provided the complete required platform for their overall development in sports, cultural, curricular, technical & regular academics. The Curriculum meets the industry expectations and especially emphasizes on practice than theory. Students are introduced to the latest advancements in the field of Civil Engineering through construction site visits, industrial visits, seminars and workshops.

We motivate our students not just to nurture technical skills but also to provide professional grooming and guidance so that our students come up as inspiring individuals. The department disseminates the knowledge to students by organizing international and national conferences seminars/workshops for the benefit of the students.

The department has strong institutional, industrial and societal linkages to strengthen its academic, co-curricular, extra-curricular and extension programmes for the overall development of students.

The major scope of Civil Engineering is in the field of, Planning |Designing | Estimating |Supervising construction | Managing construction | Execution| Maintenance of structures like building, roads, bridges & dams.

CONSULTANCY

Provides excellent training and consultancy services to the various state and central govt. agencies, public sector undertakings and many private organisations.
The students are involved in this consultancy services which give the students a unique opportunity to EARN WHILE LEARN through real time projects.
