Department of Commerce and Management Studies
The Department of Management Studies was started in the year of 2007. In an effort to cater to the present day requirement for trained managerial talent, since its inception the department has been offering Master of Business Administration (MBA) with diversified specializations such as Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, Systems and Operations. The uniqueness of this MBA (Dual Specialization) programme is that the students are allowed to specialize in two areas of their choice concurrently.
The department has started the B.Com (Hons.) programme in 2013 to satisfy the demand for certified professionals such as Chartered Accountants, Cost Accountants and Company Secretaries. The department has started the B.Com (Computer Applications) programme in 2014 to produce graduates with a blend of commerce and computer skills.
The faculty members of the department have rich experience both in industry and academics. Some of the faculty members have worked abroad in countries such as United States of America, Singapore, Australia and Seychelles. The department regularly organizes Workshops, Faculty Development Programmes, Seminars and Conferences to enlighten the academic community. The faculty members of the management department are also actively involved in research
MBA (Dual Specialization) is a two years full time course that allows students to specialize in two major areas of management. Students can choose one of the following combinations based on their interest and career goals:

- Human Resources and Operations
- Marketing and Systems
- Marketing and Operations
- Operations and Systems
B.Com (Hons.) is a three years full time course designed to prepare students to get professional certifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretaryship (ACS), Cost Accountant (ICWA), CPA and CFA.
B.Com (Computer Applications) is a three years full time course that provides a mix of commerce and computer knowledge to students.
M.Phil. (Management, Commerce and Economics) is a one year full time course designed for students who are interested in research.
Ph.D. full time as well as part time.
